Virtual Assembly Design of Micro-rotary Ridger for Use in Tobacco Field
The effect of ridging on tobacco plantation was studied. The present situation of intertillage equipments used in tobacco field was analyzed. Taking advantage of the top-down method and entity modeling in 3D (3-dimensional) software Solidworks, a microrotary ridger with double-tracked traveling unit was designed based on the virtual assembly technology. Through 3D modeling, assembly simulation test and interference analysis, structural faults of the machine were identified and modified. Finally the virtual assembly model was built After drawing conversion and some necessary modification, the 2D engineering drawings for guiding production were rapidly generated by Auto CAD (Computer Aided Design). This method greatly improved the design efficiency and guaranteed the validity of the machines structure.
