Development of a Control System for Tractors Handling Mechanism of 3 Degrees of Freedom

In order to develop the mechanization level of agricultural heavy materials handling, a 3 degrees of freedom hydraulic handling mechanism for tractors was designed. A control system with computer controlled electromagnetic proportional directional flow control valves was built on the basis of kinematics analysis, and an experiment was conducted to research the tracking performance of the handling mechanism. The results showed that the handling mechanism could achieve satisfactory tracking performance, and the system could be applied to an autonomous tractor to complete the unmanned agricultural heavy materials handling.
