The Effect of Carbon Source and Nitrogen Source on the Sclerotium Formation in Morel
The effect of different carbon source, nitrogen sources and petri dish size on growth and derotium formation by morchella crassipes growth were observed in this paper. In this study, corn flour and the soybean meal were the media composition for sclerotia formation, and the barrel or short sclerotia cell were observed by microscope, petri dish size and temperature were used to induce sclerotia formation. The result showed that corn flour 2% and the soybean meal 0.1% were the best media composition for sclerotia formation respectively. The size of the Petri dish 15 cm appeared more sclerotia in the side of the edges, while the Petri dish 5 cm or the Petri dish 9 cm appeared any surface.
