Design and Implementation of Precise Ranging and Time Synchronization System Based on DOWR
In order to measure the inter-aircraft distance and their clock offset, we designed a precise ranging and time synchronization system. The system is based on dual one-way ranging (DOWR). In this paper, we first describe the basic fundamental and structure of the system. We then discuss the primary sources of ranging and time synchronization error. We also propose the in-system integrated delay test and calibration methods. And experiments were performed to validate the performance of our system.
