GPGPU-based Parallel Computing Three-dimensional Forward Modeling of Magnetotelluric

In the recent period, the actual electrical prospecting process, three-dimensional forward problem has been the key to the earth exploration research. Generally speaking, people use the finite element method and finite difference method for solving three-dimensional power forward to the results of the electric field, and they would get a large sparse linear equation. In the process of solving equations, the time complexity of serial computing is relatively high, and the computational efficiency is very low, unable to meet the application requirements. With the parallel computer architecture matures, the vector equation for parallel computing operations is suited in the process of the precondition factor and the reconciliation. In this paper, we use GPGPU parallel computing model, significantly improving the efficiency of the three-dimensional magnetotelluric forward.
