Study of Collocation in Modern Chinese based on Corpus Methods
This paper mainly covers the application of corpusbased approach to the research of collocation in modern Chinese, summarizing and commenting on the basic concepts, formulae, approaches and processes in collocation research. Based on previous studies, this paper raises suggestions on the method of extracting collocates, data arrangement and collocation description, and emphasizes on the use of two methods in study of collocation in modern Chinese: the combination of statistics and manual proofreading and the combination of quantitative research and qualitative research.
