A Complex Event Processing based Alarm System for Coal Mine Safety Monitoring
Complex event processing (CEP) is a technology for extracting information that is of interest to users from enormous events, which can be meritorious in either low level data processing or high level enterprise business intelligence. In this paper, we propose a CEP based alarm system for coal mine safety monitoring. We also introduce the framework of the alarm system based on the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) whose message exchange mechanism is event-driven by the way of publish/subscribe. In particular, we present the design of a closed-loop alarm disposal process written in BPEL which promotes the transparency and standardization in the coal mine alarm disposal process.
