PLANAR SEGMENTATION BASED ON PLANE FIT AND QUATERNION FOR 3D REGISTRATION
In this paper, we present a planar segmentation technique based on planar patches for 3D Registration.First, an existing neighborhood definition, which is based on the co-normality and co-planarity of the planar, is adopted.The neighborhood of a given point is defined as neighboring points that belong to the same planar segmentation.Then we compute the transformation using Quarter-nion between the two coordinate systems and achieve the registration of these two range images.
