A QOE BASED ADAPTIVE TRANSMISSION IN NETWORK SURVEILLANCE

摘要：

In the network surveillance system, due to the instability of the network, packet loss often occurs in the transmission as a result of the transmission congestion, which will bring key information loss and stagnation to video images; this is unacceptable in the real-time video surveillance system.In this paper, we propose an adaptive transmission algorithm based on the quality of experience (QoE) for network video streaming with the variable network bandwidth and packet loss.Experiment result shows that, compared with frame-based transmission control, our proposed adaptive transmission algorithm balances the relationship between video quality and transmission speed, improves the user experience for the video service.
