A NEW MULTIPLE CIRCLE TARGETS DETECTION ALGORITHM BASED ON HOUGH TRANSFORM

The Hough Transform is the most common method used for image circle detection in computer vision. However, the use of Hough Transform has its drawbacks such as computation, low efficiency and cant lead to good extraction of circle targets.In this paper, we propose a simple and effective algorithm based essentially on two steps.First, a succession of image processing operations such as segmentation, edge detection and etc, aimed to extract the targets of its environment and then the Hough transform is applied to enable a good and efficient detection of circles.The experimental results prove that the algorithm can extract multiple circle targets with different colors quickly so can be used widely due to its simplicity.
