NUMERICAL SIMULATION FOR FORCED EVAPORATIVE COOLING SYSTEM OF GENERATOR STATORS
Often included in the enumeration of generators capacity enlargements are implemented by using additional cooling requirements of winding coils.In present study, numerical simulation on flow dynamics and heat transfer are conducted with Fluent for evaporative cooling technologies introduced in generator stator.The velocity, void fraction, pressure and temperature distribution along the tube are investigated.Boiling heat transfer coefficient with heat flux is discussed.The results provide a reference basis for the optimal design and safe operation of generator stators.
