Ecosystems of Invention, Entrepreneurship or Innovation:Brazilian New Venture Experiences
The study on an organizational ecosystem pretends to delineate the networks, composed of public or private organizations, which interact in the process of venture creation and their business lifecycle, and are characterized by the concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation. Understanding that organizational ecosystems are composed of elements and processes, it allows delineating which are the effective and proactive stakeholders who interact either with the managers of the new ventures, and understand how they enhance their core competence with the objective to transform it into a high growth venture. The objective of this study is to identify the stakeholders of new ventures and to delineate the existing ecosystems. The research method is exploratory, through a multi-cases study, involving five new ventures which are part of the Rede Gaucha of business incubators. A content analysis was realized with the participation of the support managers and the proper managers of the new ventures, to identify the external support network and the existing interaction mechanisms. The results point out cross-cases peculiarities and data crossing through cross-cases analysis, in order to detach convergent and divergent aspects between them, evaluating the business network of this environment through ecosystem characteristics about entrepreneurship and innovation.
