Exploring the Effects of Leadership on Organizational Learning and Innovation Performance
Innovation is a strategic option to make organizations more competitive. Leadership exerts great influence on organizational performance through the intermediate influence on organizational learning and innovation performance. In this paper, the relationship between leadership styles and innovation were expounded, transformational leadership contributes significantly to adopting generative thinking and pursuing exploratory innovation, while transactional leadership behaviors facilitate exploitative innovation. But with the fast changing environment, leaders in organizations need to distinguish these two features of leadership.
