Based on Location Quotients Chengdu Equipment Manufacturing Clusters Concentration Measurement and Coping Strategies
Recent researches on cluster mainly focus on network innovation, regional innovation systems, SMEs clusters and clusters innovation performance, yet the specific equipment manufacturing cluster research can still be deepened. In this study, we compared different clusters concentration measured methods, and then selected Location Quotient to measure and analyze Chengdus equipment manufacturing cluster concentration. We find that its whole concentration degree is low and inner structure is unreasonable, except the Transport Equipment Manufacturing. Equipment manufacturing is a strategic industry of national economy. Chengdu, as one of the most important cities in Southwest China, its development of equipment manufacturing is an important economic foundation to revitalize the Western China. We give some suggestions in the end.
