Modeling and Identification of Hydraulic Part of KAROON III Hydro Power Plant
This paper proposes a nonlinear mathematical model for hydraulic part of KAROON III Hydro Power Plant (HPP). KAROON-IH HPP is one of the largest dams and power plants in Iran with the capacity of generating .2280 MW electrical power. The model is basically defined based on the static and dynamic governing equations related to the physical system. Major hydraulic parts and components of HPP including penstocks, surge tanks and turbines are considered and the parameters of each part are calculated and estimated. Some simulation results depict the accuracy of the modeling.
