Phase Unwrapping for Large Discontinuous Surface Based on Color Fringe Projection

A phase unwrapping method based on color fringe projection is presented. The projected color pattern is utilized to identify the unwrapped phase absolute fringe order and calculate the wrapped phase distribution at the same time,which is time saving and high measurement efficiency .The proposed phase unwrapping method can overcome the phase discontinuous problem.Three channel values in HSV space are completely employed to calculate the pattern color information intensity,the relative position relationship between adjacent pixels hue channel value is used to decide absolute phase fringe order. The hue channel value is designed applying pseudo-random multi-valued sequence.The value channel intensity in HSV space is changed according to the . sinusoid.The detailed phase unwrapping algorithm is explained, the proposed unwrapping algorithm can be applied to the measurement for 3d object with large height steps and/or spatially isolated surfaces.The simulation and true object experiments validate the correctness of the proposed method.
