Numerical method for solving a Cauchy problem for the modified Helmholtz equation

In this paper, a Cauchy problem for the modified Helmholtz equation has been considered. A truncated method has been developed to deal with the ill posedness of the problem. The theoretic results show that the discrepancy principle can work well for this problem. Numerical examples are also given to show the efficiency of the method.
