Research on the statistical approach for Audience Rating Based on Image Recognition
This paper makes an approach to statistics of audience rating via image recognition technology. According to the own logo of TV station, the video frames can be obtained through certain video technologies, and then capture technology is used to get station logo images. After preprocessing, feature matrix of TV station logo images are compared with those in the station logo database. By matching the characteristic matrix in primary search stage, dissimilar station logo images are excluded, the feature point match algorithms are used to obtain similar logo in next advanced search process. So TV station information and statistic of audience rating are acquired.
