Study on an Improved Method for Simulating Multiple Uncqrrelated Rayleigh Fading Waveforms
This paper deals with the simulation of a set ofmultiple uncorrelated Rayleigh fading waveforms which are generated by using deterministic sum-of-sinusoids (SOS) channel modeling principle. An improved method which applies random wobble concept is presented for the computation of channel model parameters. Analytical and numerical results show that the resulting deterministic SOS-based channel simulator has good performance in terms of fitting autocorrelation (ACF) of inphase (quadrature) component and ACF of complex waveforms. Moreover, the improved method has close-form expression and could produce random model parameters, so it will be useful for the design of simulation models for diversity-combined Rayleigh fading channels, frequency selective channels, and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels.
