A Study on the Impact of Teachers Teaching Quality to Students Academic Performance:A Study Using Hierarchical Linear Models

This study aimed to investigate the impact of teachers teaching quality to students academic performance using teaching information. As students data nested in teachers data and it had the structure with two layers of data, this paper would use Hierarchical Linear Models. The results showed that: the effects of the four dimensions of teaching quality on academic performance and learning motivation were .significant The learning motivation was a partial mediator among .the teaching quality and academic performance. It showed that the differences in students academic performance attributed in part to the levels of teachers teaching quality.
