Improved Algorithm for MUSIC Applied in Coherent Signal Parameter Estimation

The paper is concerned with high-resolution direction finding of coherent signals incident on ULA (Uniform Linear Array). We investigated 1) invalidation analysis of classical MUSIC (Multiple Signal Characteristics) in coherent signal parameter estimation;2) number estimation of incident signals using DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform);3) shift reference sensor method in reconstructing power matrix of incident signals and estimation of arrival angles. By simulating on computer, we draw conclusions 1) the algorithm present in the paper can perform high-resolution direction finding of coherent signals without reducing-array effective aperture;2) it can estimate number of incident signals accurately in low SNR (Signal Noise Ratio).
