Performance Research of Supersonic Chemical Oxygen-Iodine Laser
Supersonic chemical oxygen iodine laser (COIL) whose performance is influenced by many aspects is a complex system. During the experiments on effects factor of power for COIL, aimed at the chlorine flow rate, the proportion of helium/iodine flow rate, the ingoing order of helium and chlorine. Along with the increase of chlorine flow rate, the power increases. Restricted by experiment equipments, the dropping of power is not observed. The pressure change of oxygen generator and cavity are given in the rush liquid. The optimal proportion of helium/iodine flow rate is 52-56 when the power receives maximum power. As well as the power change range of the first time and the last time in every tank experiment. Analyses show that a decrease of power is mainly due to the drop pf BHP solution density and reflectivity of cavity mirror which is caused by the airflow in the cavity.
