The Optimal Design of Spectrum Analyzer Based on DSP

The principle of Radix-2 fast Fourier transform (FFT) arithmetic according to decimation in time (DIT), and the accomplishment algorithms using TMS320C54x fixedpoint digital signal processing (DSP) are introduced in this paper. The problems and resolving methods, such as data-overflow, spectrum leakage, fence effect, etc. and implementation of Radix-2 FFT algorithms by using fixed-point DSP are - discussed. Also an approach for optimal design with hardware framework, software flowchart and result of digital simulation are given.
