Living-Oriented Teaching Strategy for the foundation courses of Computer Majors
Using computer has been regarded as an absolutely necessary capability in the 21th century, therefore, the computer education is paid more attention to in many countries.Since computer science have to learn many abstract and profound foundation courses, such as networking fundamental concept, database concept, operating system concept, etc.However, these foundation courses are boring theories but very important to major in computer science.In this study, a novel Living-Oriented Teaching Strategy (LOTS) for above courses is proposed.In this strategy, the teaching activity is by means of living example, that is to say, teacher uses the different living examples to explain the boring theories.These theories are no more abstract and boring.LOTS provides an interesting and easy to understand teaching strategy.
