Problems and Solutions in Intercultural Teaching for EFL Teachers in China

摘要：

In todays practice of foreign language teaching, culture teaching in China still faces such problems as teachers being less cross-culturally prepared, the absence of culture teaching syllabus and the shortage of interculture-oriented course books.To address these problems it is suggested that EFL (English Foreign Language) teachers should strengthen intercultural competence through training, further education abroad and self-study;that syllabus, course books and teaching methods should undergo some changes, for the purpose of training interculturally competent students.
