On Application of RFID in Science Education

Two application aspects of RFID technology in science education are given: (1) RFID technology is contribute to carry out scientific inquiry at all levels-take the classification of plants as an example, we put forward that the application of RFID is conducive to create the individual situational scientific inquiry, to provide students with multidimensional ways of cooperation and exchanges. Also, it contributes to integration of formative assessment and summative evaluation.(2) RFID technology provides one possible way for students to understand the nature of science-the example of plants classification shows the relationship of science inquiry and the nature of science.Take pendulum as another example, we propose that RFID technology is helpful students to understand the nature of science.
