Study on the Cooperative Learning Model in College English Teaching

In combining the status quo of college English teaching with the guidance of cooperative learning theories, this paper aims to introduce the concept of cooperative learning into English classroom teaching and explores to build a cooperative learning model. In addition, this paper attempts to implement steps and processes of cooperative learning experiment in college English teaching, so as to provide some references for other ELT teachers involved in this teaching model to improve college English teaching. The implementation of teaching strategies for cooperative learning in college English classroom teaching enhances students sense of participation in classroom, establishes students awareness of learner-centeredness, gives full play to students major role, as well as inspires students subject consciousness of learning.
