Current Situation of Distance Education in China Rural
Distance education has been undergoing incremental change over the past decade or so since the advent of the commercial Internet and the World Wide Web. However, we are currently on the cusp of advances that will facilitate experiential learning at a distance, reduce the cost of distance education production, and expand access to education. This paper describes issues and status presenting in China rural distance education, and illuminate solving methods for these issues. At first, we narrate the China distance education characteristics, government official policies and the Impact of Network-based Distance Education. Secondly, analyses the main questions that existences in China rural distance education. Finally, indicates the direction of developing rural distance education.
