Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction by Iterative Phase Reversal for SFBC MIMO-OFDM Systems
High-data-rate wireless communications have attracted significant interests in emerging wireless local area networks (WLAN) and multimedia networks. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with the aid of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) techniques, popularly known as MIMO-OFDM is an emerging cost-effective technology that offers increased capacity, coverage and reliability for communication systems. However, its high peak-toaverage power ratio (PAPR) is the major drawback like conventional single-input single-output (SISO) OFDM systems. In this paper, we expand the proposed iterative phase reversal (PR) scheme for reducing PAPR to SFBC (space-frequency block coded) MIMO-OFDM system. From the results of simulation, the iterative PR method can reduce PAPR in SFBC MIMO-OFDM systems effectively.
