Audio-Video Synchronization Algorithm for Emerging H.264/AVC Standard

摘要：

A novel method for audio-video synchronization in H.264/AVC streams is presented. The proposed method exploits the number of Trailing Ones during CAVLC (Context Adaptive Variable Length Coding) coding process to embed audio information into video stream. It is a blind synchronization algorithm; the audio information can be extracted directly from the encoded stream without the need of original host video. Experimental results show that the algorithm has minimal effect on the host video sequences and almost no bit rate increase.
