Study on the Kinetic Anti-missile Fragments Based on NASA Model
To the question of the anti-missile fragments produced by the Kinetic Kill Vehicle (KKV) intercepting the Tactical Ballistic Missile (TBM). the mass characteristic of fragment is analyzed, it turns out the anti-missile fragments are composite outcome of the impact and explosion. The applicability of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) explosion breakup model is verified, the NASA impact breakup model is suggested to calculate the distribution characteristic of the anti-missile fragments. The model of the minimum mass threshold of effective fragment is deduced; the damages probability model that the debris cloud impacts the cooperative target is established based on Poisson distribution. The simulation case indicates that the debris cloud has the 10-4-10-5 magnitude damage threat to the cooperative target at initial 10s of the debris cloud diffusion, this conclusion has important reference value to the future missile offensive and defensive battle.
