Exploring Inlined Reference Monitor-based Systems
One way to enforce security policies at runtime is to use Inlined Reference Monitors(IRM). where the object code of a program can be rewritten to inline desirable security checks that can be monitored at runtime. A number of systems were introduced to realize this approach in practice. In this paper, we discuss some of these systems and we compare their features against an ideal feature list of an Inlined Reference Monitor.
