The Research on 3D Virtual Teaching of Color Calibration

Improper color management often resulted in poor images and color quality. Therefore, how to enhance the color management calibration capabilities is currently the most important issues in the printing industry. A fault had occurred between the demands of the industry and academia. The researchers researched and developed virtual 3D color calibration software that provides the same as functions as the actual equipment. The researchers separated 40 people into two groups. 20 people in the experimental group and 20 people in the control group to conduct the experimental teaching. The experimental results showed that the performance of actual operation of color calibration by the experimental group was significantly better than the control groups. It showed that the 3D virtual color calibration software developed by this research was able to enhance the learning effectiveness. In addition, after the survey, students who have used the virtual software were highly positive on its degree of realism, con trollability, independent learning space, independent learning time, learning atmosphere, etc.
