Research on the Middle and Long Term Power Load Forecasting Based on the Equal Dimensional New Information Gray Model
It will be helpful for planning, designing and investing on electric system to improve the accuracy of the middle and long term power load forecasting. The accurate prediction result will bring huge economic and social benefit. This article analyzes the application of the traditional grey model GM (1,1) in power load prediction, and uses a method that applies the idea of equal dimensional new information to traditional grey GM (1,1) mode) due to the shortcoming that accuracy predicting the long term data is low. This method uses the first number as the original data to predict the rest data to improve the accuracy of prediction. The experiment result shows that the new model can predict the middle and long term data more accurate than traditional one.
