Near-field Source Localization Based on Beam Matching in Low SNR
A new near-field localization method based on beam matching is proposed. Only three receiving array elements are needed. In the near-field, make use of amplitude and phase differences of the received signals, get phase difference by beam matching and power ratio equations through autocorrelation matrix of each element data. Use phase difference and power ratio to construct analytic geometric equations whose parameters are the sources coordinates. Source location analytical solution can be obtained by solving equations. Compared with common super-resolution near-field localization algorithms, it needs fewer number of array elements, less computation and provides better localization accuracy in low signal noise ratio (SNR). Simulation results demonstrate the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
