Application of Service-learning in a Web-based Virtual Policing in English Program
Servicing-learning as an experiential education method has been gaining attention in professional knowledge learning and community service in recent years. The web-based Virtual Policing in English (VPIE) program applies Service-learning components and high quality criteria into its design, development running and assessment to realize the aim of achieving close connections between learning and training, motivating participants through sharing their voice and reflections, mutual benefits and a scientific assessment system. Efforts to achieve a high quality virtual policing training were presented. Challenges and promising future of VPIE were discussed.
