Discussion on the Maintenance of the High-speed Railway Tracks
Transportation is a weak link in the development of Chinas national economy at the present time. The improvement of the transportation capability is an urgent task that Chinese people are confronting with. Currently, the high-speed railway in China undertakes more than 60％ of the transportation tasks, and therefore it occupies a decisive position all over the country. As is known to all, the track is one of the main technological equipments of the high-speed railways, and also is the foundation for the trains to run. Besides, the public works department shoulders the management and technological improvement of the high-speed railway tracks; therefore, its most important duties are strengthening the track structure, improving the track quality, ensuring the trains to run safely, steadily and incessantly in accordance with the regulated standard speed. All theses, however, require the public works department to intensify the maintenance of the high-speed railway tracks.
