Microstructure and Properties of TC25 Titanium Alloy Forged Rings
TC25 titanium alloy forged rings with dimension of Φ420/Φ320×50mm were prepared by 3150 ton hydropress and 200KW resistance furnace from cast ingots with weight of 3 ton. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the forged rings under different processing were analyzed. The results show that the primary mechanical properties of the TC25 forged rings with equiaxial, network basket and tri-modal micro-structure meet the intended targets,and are equal to the properties of BT25 titanium alloy forgings. In addition, the ring with equiaxial micro-structure has lower fracture toughness,and the network basket microstructure leads to lower plasticity and thermal stability. The TC25 forged ring with homogeneous tri-modal microstructure has excellent comprehensive properties.
