Unified Constitutive Equations for Hot Working of Wrought Two-phase Titanium Alloys

Unified constitutive equations are essential to investigating the interaction between microstructure evolution and plastic deformation in hot working of titanium alloys. In present work,we analyze the characteristics of microstructure development and flow stress in hot working of wrought two phase titanium alloys. Two set of constitutive equations coupling microstructure evolution are developed for alpha and beta phases respectively, which are based on the evolution of dislocation density in each individual phase. They are combined to predict the constitutive behavior and microstructure evolution of two-phase titanium alloys in both beta working and subtransus working. The predicted flow stress and grain size agree well with the experimental results.
