Effects of Heat Treatment on Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of BTi-6431S Alloy
BTi-6431S titanium alloy is a kind of high temperature and high strength titanium alloy of near α titanium type which is independently researched and developed by Baoti Group. The alloy can be used in the temperature environments in the range of 600~700℃ ,and has been widely applied in the spacecraft industry. This paper studies the influence of ordinary annealing,two-steps annealing on microstructures and mechanical properties of BTi-6431S alloy. The results show that the nodularization effect of two-steps annealing is more obviously than which of ordinary annealing and the primary α phase distributed more uniformly. With the increase of temperature, the strength increases,the ductility decreases, the matched performance of strength and ductility can be obtained by annealing.
