Evolution Microstructure of Forging Procedure and Effect of Mechanical Properties for Ti6A14V-ELI Large Scale Bars
This paper reported the evolution macro and micro structure for Ti6Al4V-ELI forging procedure. The effect of mechanical properties of this microstructure was also analyzed for different forging stage. The results indicated that the microstructure of Ti6Al4V-ELI bars became finer and finer with the increasing of the deformation amount and forging times. The spheroidization equiaxed grain was formed finally. At the same time, the tensile strength was also increased. However, the fracture toughness was decreased a little. Those regularities were the foundation to fabricate the big scale Ti6Al4V-ELI bars.
