Effects of Hot Deformation Parameters on Microstructure of Ti-600 Alloy
Isothermal compression tests were carried out on the Gleeble 1500 thermal simulator in order to explore the hot plastic behavior and to analyse the the effects of hot deformation parameters on the microstructures of Ti-600 alloy. The results indicate that the degree of crushing lamellar mi-crostructures and spheroidization process will increase with increase of deformation temperature. More homogeneous microstructure can be obtained with rapid spheroidization process. The rise of deformation temperature is benefit to the spheroidization of lamellar α phases. The tendency of stretching, bending, kinking for lamellar α phases along the orientation perpendicular to the deformation direction will be more apparent with the increment of strain rates. Deformation quantity has little effect on the microstructure for the alloy.
