Effect of Oxygen Content on the Properties of Commercial Pure Titanium Tubes
As one of the important interstitial elements, the content of oxygen has important effects on microstructures and properties of Ti and Ti alloys. Adding methods and contents of oxygen on the properties of CPTi tubes were studied in this paper. Oxygen content, rolling deformation rate, relatively reduction rate (Q) on the mechanical properties of the tubes were also analyzed. The results indicate that the strength of the tubes increases with the increath of oxygen content,and the ductility decline rapidly. When the tubes were rolled with the deformation rate of 35%-60%,Q not less than 1. 2,seamless CPTi tubes with favorite comprehensive properties will get with oxygen content at the range of 0. 08%-0.13%.
