Effect of Heat Treatment Process on Structure and Property of Ti55531

Through the 3 (the temperature of solution,the temperature of aging,the aging time) X3 orthogonal experimental,the influences of the different stages of two step annealing treatment on the mechanical properties and the microstructures of the Ti55531 titanium alloy were investigated. The influence of temperature on the mechanical properties was systematically analyzed. The results show that the strength level increases as the temperature of solution increases and the temperature of aging decreases. The elongation increases as the temperature of solution decreases and the temperature of aging increases. The alloy has better balance of strength and plasticity under aging treatment of 820t ,2 hours (air cooling) and 580℃,6 hours (air cooling). The tensile strength of the Ti55531 alloy reaches to 1390 Mpa.
