Damage-tolerance Property of TA15 alloy
Damage tolerance property of TA15 alloy with different microstructures was studied in this paper. The results show that, the alloys of unde-formed Widmanstatten with small patches, deformed Widmanstatten and net microstiructure have higher fracture toughness and lower fatigue crack-extending rate, while still maintain the performance of high plasticity and good damage-tolerance. The alloy with two-state microstructure has good performance in plasticity, but bad damage-tolerance property.
