Opportunities of Increase of Mechanical Properties of the Deformed Semifinished Products from Ti-Al-Nb System Alloys
Intermetallic alloys of Ti-Al-Nb system-are ones of the most perspective structural materials for aerospace technique as they combine high specific strength and high temperature strength properties,heat resistance and the raised manufacturability at processing into various semifinished products. Study of influence of deformation modes on structure and mechanical properties of intermetallic alloy Ti2 AINb was carried out in the range of temperatures 1060— 1150℃. To define influence of thermal treatment on structure and mechanical properties of the studied alloy as optimum following modes of heat treatment have been chosen: annealing at temperature of 1050℃, 1 hour (cooling on air) and quenching at 1025℃,l hour (cooling in oil) with the subsequent ageing at 750℃ ,3 hours (cooling on air).
