Strengthening Mechanism of Ti3Al (α+β)Ti Dual Alloys Joining Interface
This paper has investigated the strengthening mechanism of Ti3Al/(α+β) Ti dual alloys joining interface to be isothermal forged and heat treatment with OM.SEM and TEM analysis and tensile test. The results show the strengthening is brought primarily by interface structure fining, new phases developing and defect avoiding,because grains can be fined and defects can be avoided through isothermal forging and recrystallizing,forming new phases can be completed by diffuse of atom at two sides of interface during weld,forging and heat treatment.
