Isothermal Local Loading Technology and Its Application in Large-scale Integral Component Forming of Ti-alloy
Isothermal local loading technology,combining the advantages of local loading and isothermal forming, provides a new and loading-saving approach to form Ti-alloy large-scale integral component, widely used as a kind of important load-bearing component in aircrafts. Due to complexity in shape of large-scale component and difficult-to-deformation Ti-alloy used as well as high requirements in forming precision and excellent mechanical properties, there are some key technologies urgently to be solved for application of isothermal local loading technology in forming of Tialloy large-scale complex integral component. This paper presents the key technologies and research advances of large-scale and complex component forming by isothermal local loading including such as initial billet preparation,forming of large and asymmetric preform of Ti-alloy, partition of loading zone,macroscopic forming defects prediction and process optimization, whole-process control of microstructure evolution. The results are of importance to development of isothermal local loading technology and large-scale integral component precision forming.
