Producing Titanium Alloys with Sub Microcrystalline Structure for Manufacturing Parts of Turbine Engine
This report presents a method for producing titanium alloys with sub microcrystalline structure. Such alloys could be used as a raw material for manufacturing parts of turbine engine and other highduty constructions. Initial samples were treated by complex method of severe plastic deformation (SPD),including twist extrusion (TE). The analysis of structure, constructional and mechanical properties of obtained materials showed, that these properties are at list not worse, but commonly better than these of traditional titanium alloys for aircraft. Cost price analysis of present method showed its costeffectiveness and,as a result, availability of the engineering and competitiveness of obtained materials.
