Investigation of Shape Memory Effect and Superelasticity Behavior of Ti-25Nb-3Zr-3Mo-2Sn Alloys by In-situ Tensile Observation
The shape memory effect and superelasticity of the Ti-25Nb-3Zr-3Mo-2Sn alloy in various conditions of heat treatment and loading mode were investigated by in-situ tensile tests. The results indictate that the solid solution treated condition displays the best shape memory effect and superelasticity. The higher loading stress for slip deformation resulted in a lower shape recovery ratio in aged alloys. The recovery strain ratio raised with the increasing of cycling numbers in solution treated alloys.
